Concertino for Clarinet and Chamber Orchestra
Michael A. Kimbell’s Concertino for Clarinet and Chamber Orchestra will be performed by the San Francisco Sinfonietta Orchestra, with the composer as soloist. The program will also feature violinist Joseph Gold playing Ballade et Polonaise by Vieuxtemps, flutist Ruth Keys in the premiere of Silhouette by Steven Keys, and other works.
The date: Saturday March 16, 2013 at 6:30 pm, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1111 O'Farrell in San Francisco.
The Concertino received its premiere performnce by the San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra on June 9, 2012, also with the composer as solist.
North American Premiere of Poème for Violin and Harp
The Wiener Saitenspiel Duo presented Poème at the World Harp Congress 2011 in Vancouver, Canada.
Both the recording as a CD and mp3 as well as the sheet music are available on the chamber music page.
Poème was premiered by the Wiener Saitenspiel Duo on June 4, 2009 in the Salon Linton France, Vienna, Austria
and on June 6 2009 in the Kaisersaal, Ottobeuren, Germany.
Time does not move for Orchestra and Narrator was premiered by the San Francisco Sinfonietta Orchestra
on May 24, 2010 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco.
